"My thought today is on humility"
Hey mom!
So let´s see about my week. Where to begin?
Let´s see here, down here in Brazil everyone is wicked religious, and there are some crazy religions down here, like the JW´s, and the Evangelisticals. But one in particular is the congregation of brazil. We tracted into a lady from there who was genuinely interested in the book of mormon. But when we returned we found her mom with the book of mormon, and she gave it back to us saying that she doesn´t want it anymore!! Her mom totally convinced her daughter, crazy right?
We had zone conference on thursday which was awesome. Each missionary got a military grade water bottle filter for drinking. Literally we drink any water with this filter and we will be okay. My companion is thinking of trying out the heavily polluted lake water with it, I don´t know I don´t have that much confidence in it. Last Sunday we had our first baptism!!! Her name is Maiara!! It is so exciting to see the change in people´s lives.
Just to let you know, i successfuly made tortillas here, so we made ourselves some dang good quesadillas! All the food down here is so cheap! I got a grocery bag full of french bread last night, baked fresh for only fifty cents! It is crazy!
Hey I was wondering would you be able to send some recipes in your next email? Some things for me to try? Maybe like cookies? And could you order the english liahona for me as well? Just have it directly shipped to the mission office? It is very hard to get either the english or portugeuse one down here.
Well I got to go! I love you so much, thank you for your email, wicked awesome!

My thought today is on humility: It is important for us to be humble in everything we do so that God can do many miracles through us. Through God we can do anything, but first we need to understand the role of God in our everyday lives. Humility is not a weakness, rather it is strength, strength from God. Mosiah 4:6
