good morning! Hows everyone doing!? Sounds like you guys are doing well, Keep it up over there Kimball. One day youll be level 20. Its great tto hear that your guys are excersiing and liking it! Well this week was quite an adventure. It was pretty cool, went by really fast. On Wednesday I had interviews with Prez. Cascardi in Volta Redonda. It went really well. Pretty much spent the whole day down there because the whole zone was being interviewed and I ended up being last haha. I didnt get home until 8 at night. Because the bus was running late. Its an hour and a half bus ride too. The interview was great, was really fast. About 10 minutes, really cut and to the point. It was great.
During this week, we were blessed. I was able to find three people, and one family that are pretty amazing. The family is a family of 4, two sons, mom, and the dad. The whole family is reading, went to church yesterday, inviting friends to hear the message everything. Well beside the dad.. the dad is kinda like whatever about all this stuff. I always try to include him in the lessons b asking questions. I always ask him a question to keep him on his toes. He always responds like "huh, what did you say" its retty funny, hard not to laugh during the lesson. But anyway this family is pretty awesome. The other gu named Diego came to church yesterday. Its been a struggle to teach him. Yesterday we decided to stop by his house before church to invite him. We ended up waking him up, but he still came with us! Was a miracle. He loved church, and wants to come back next week. When we were waliking home, I gave him a run down of each lesson we'll teach him to be prepared for baptism. The guy accepted. He's a elect.
Then we also found a lady named Regina. She was a street contact a while back, we decided to flip our potentials to investigators or nothing. We knocked her door, I was talking through the intercom, and she immediatley opened the door. She said "oh i knew it was you guys, by the american accent. You guys are welcome in my house anyday." Right then and there i knew she was elect. We taught her the Restoration. I invited her to be Baptised, and first invite she accept really easily. Was awesome! Dang, progressing investigators are so awesome. I love it when the fulfil our commitments.
Next sunday is GeneraL Conference! Cant believe it! Snuck up on me super fast.
Ive had quite the adventures here in Brazil. Yesterday I had an adventure for sure haha. After church, we had lunch really far away, like 1 and half hours by car. We had a member lift us there, accept that he passed the exit on the highway and couldnt turn around.. so he pulled over on the side of the highway and dropped us off there... so we had to back track by foot, get the exit and walk the rest of the way to lunch.. was another 45 minutes by foot. We were walking along this back country road, and we decided to try and hitch hike.. and get another lift.. We were trying, wasnt working, until some guy in a small pick up truck pulled over. We hopped in the bed and he lifted us all the way to lucnh! It was retty amazing. We had a nice brazilian barbeque. It was pretty nice, we ate chicken heart on a scewer! It was like 10 chicken hearts on a stick. It was actually pretty good, I really enjoyed it. She said she'll make me some pig tongue, and pig foot next week! I asked for it, because i want to see how it tastes. Should be awesome. Afterwards the dad brought us to this trolley lift next to his house. He lives ontop of a mountain. Has these trolley lifts that still work but are abanded and no one can use them. These trollys go from there, down the moubntain all the way to the city of Rio. We were reallyy close to the City of Rio yesterday. Dont worry, I was still in my mission :) Ill send some photos.
So I found out why I have so many bug bites on my legs and arms.. first time was bed bugs, i switched my bed and I was fine for a while. This week in our house we had an infestation of ants.. and they are huge and brownish red.. When im sleeping theyve been biting my legs leaving these huge gashing on the back of my legs.. I got some medicine for the wounds and theyve gone down quite a bit. My companion said that it happens.. its normal.. what is this haha.
Anyway thats about it! Oh, thanks mom for the package! It was great, love the candy, pictures and the games! There are pretty awesome.
