Good morning to you all! Sounds like you've guys have been having a good time over there! That's so awesome to hear, The Lord has blessed our family that's for sure. Its been quite the week here that's for sure. I'm definitely still adjusting, but I feel like I've almost gotten there. Its just so different being in a totally different country, not to mention a country that is nothing like the United States in any way haha. Its awesome here though. So grateful to be here in Brazil.

Like I said in my previous letter, its just work, work and more work here. Starting ground up, building up the area. I honestly feel like we have been doing that this past week. Its been all new investigator work, and finding tactics. After lunch everyday the work begins. Everyday its been going to different parts of my area and knocking doors, and street contacts and hopefully the person will let us share more about our message. Its truly a honor to do the Lords work! The calling of an missionary is incredible. Putting the tag on everyday is quite the name to have next to your heart each day.

The Lord has blessed us this week, for our work and diligence. We´ve found some new gators this past week. Its definitely been trying at times, I feel like the Lord has thrown us a bone this week to lift our heads. We finished knocking doors in Bom Jardim another area, we had an appointment far away we needed to walk to so we left Bom Jardim and we were on our way. We started walking and realized that the appointment wasn't for today but for tomorrow, we returned and the very first door that we knock a man opens the door.. he is like really excited for some reason. I just knew this guy was going to be awesome. We talk on the door step for a while and finally I was like ok "can we share more about our message with you and your family?" He´s like well of course! Well in Portuguese.. anyway, we go in teach him the whole restoration lesson, and his whole family too. They completely agreed with what we had to offer, and we gave them the Book of Mormon to read and the kids have been reading it! We asked them to be baptized first lesson, and he is like sure! In one sentence to describe them, this family is amazing! We will be teaching them again on Thursday. So stoked, definitely a blessing from Heavenly Father. Definitely the Highlight of the week for sure!
On Saturday, we had a service project a stake wide one with the Helping hands thing. We arrived at the church at 8, got on a city bus and went 30 minutes to some random place with the stake and planted trees haha! It was actually pretty fun.. except it was super hot and got a nice good old sun burn on my face and neck.. first one here in Brazil! Id be walking in church and hear "ele esta vermelheio.." id be like ugh.. yes I know I am red.. quit making fun of the American haha Its definitely something people like to do here that's for sure. Its all good though.

Yesterday was a good day too, finished fasting after church at a members home for lunch. She mad fried bananas, fried potatoes, spaghetti, pork, rice and beans. It was super good, I ate so much.. usually I eat a ton during lunch because I don't eat dinner until 9 at night when we finish working. I ate so much though yesterday, I wanted to puke while I was walking up and down the hills haha it was tough, but definitely worth it. That's really about it! This coming week we have a good amount of lessons from finding last week. It should be good that's for sure! I hope all of you guys are having a good week! Love you guys!

Love, Elder Kenning

ps: Can you send me some good and easy pancake recipes, and maybe others you guys might think will be useful for me here. Through email is fine. I think that's about it. Oh,  I'm not sure if I've gotten then package yet it gets sent to the office, I will be walking there today. Hopefully! Fingers are crossed.

Spiritual thought: John 4:13-14 Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we will "never thirst again" but will continually have a "well of water springing up into everlasting life" Always partake of the well of water :)
