Another week...
Dear family,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kim-Lickins. How old are you? 10? :) That's awesome though, can't believe he got a fish aquarium! I'll give those fish two more weeks haha actually Kimball will do pretty well because he is the animal whisperer, Just dont let Monsieur get a hold of them.. A year pass to the zoo is pretty cool also, I'm sure you guys will be there quite a bit this year. Pretty cool how Kimball's birthday is on the 6th of April same day as General Conference too! Bet he loved that.
General Conference was awesome.. I truly enjoyed every single talk given. Being on the mission really helped me understand and focus more upon the messages being given. I actually took notes through every single talk! We ended up watching it over in the church building by ourselves. I can;t say whether or not I have a favorite talk or not. Elder Bednars talk on "having a heavy load" was awesome really puts things into perspective, I liked President Monsons talk on Courage, I think one of my favorites was Bishop Stevenson on following up. It's so applicable to missionary work and to every single person out there! General conference went by too fast, cant believe its already over. Priesthood session was great, was a little weird being out at 10 at night afterwards felt a little rebellious haha but dont worry I wasnt!
The week has been pretty good, lot's of teaching and finding like usual. We really extended ou rreach this week. We tracted over in Kentucky this week to really try and find some people out there. We found some people which was awesome. We taught another guy this week who is a karokee dj.. he is hilarious. He started to sing to us! It made me laugh super hard. He is a champ thats for sure. We a lot of progressing investigators this week, the Lord is really helping us out here and our gators. We had two miracle investigators this week too. The zone is doing zion standard of excellence, but the zone is doing a standard build up where we gradually reach the standard of excellence. This week we had to find three new gators, we found one in Kentucky then on exchanges with Elder Mcmullin and I about 8:45 at night I decided to knock a house that is painted after the Steelers.. we knock it and he lets us in! We give him the rundown in the B.O.M and he likes it! Then we had a last minute new last night. She was a media referral and we finall ygo tin contact with her last night and she is super knowledgeable about religion. She is prepared by the lord so we are blessed that way. We have a baptism coming up this week which is super exciting! Can't wait.
We were also able to help move an investigator this week which was good! It was in the pouring rain again haha every move i've done has been in the rain! I dont know why! That was a lot o ffun though. On Friday I had Zone Meeting down in Huntington WV. It was awesome I always love zone meetings, we talked a lot about "listening" and discerning the needs of our investigators and how we need to be bold in ITL'ing people. Elder Barney and I are on fire when it comes to ITL's haha i love Itl'ing people out on the street. Its such a blast. Just got to put yourself out there!
Thats really about it here in Portsmouth! Hope the Family is doing well! Love you guys! Hope you have a good week!
