Family,
Thats crazy that you guys have a ton of snow up there. Are you at least having fun in it? If you are not doing anything it will not be fun. Have made any huge sledding jumps? Or been skiing?
Happy Birthday Grant! Can't believe you're 18. you got to let me know how your birthday went. I do have a package almost put together to send home. I will try to have it out either by tuesday or wednesday.
It has been busy again this last week. We are trying to the mission ready for the next transfer. The mission is getting 3 new zones. Also at the transfer date, 4 missionaries will be leaving and 34 will be arriving, mostly all english and almost exactly half are sisters.
As I'm typing now, we just got off the phone with this guy Louis. He told us him and his buddy are from Jerusalem and they are jewish but his friend was baptized mormon recently and he agrees with a lot of what we teach and wants to join. *golden. He will be coming to FHE tonight and we have an appointment tomorrow. Very exciting news.
Anyways, yesterday was my first meeting with the stake presidency, to review the missionary work in each ward in the stake. They asked me on the spot to give a scripture to start off the meeting. It was a good experience all together. I felt like I was in a business conference with 5 different CEO's for large corporations.
We had Zone Conference last week. There was a few members invited to give talks about what its like to do missionary work on the members side and what the full time missionaries can do best to help the members share the gospel. The theme for the mission has been member missionary work lately.
Things have been good lately.
