Cali swaaaaag.
How is everybody doing lately? These past couple weeks have been really good. This is the last week of training i'm doing. Elder Pafford is great. part of the training was for him to take charge in all planning and teaching situations, and he did great. President Bowen also paid a visit in our personal study and companion study. It was great, he taught us really cool things. And funny thing was while he was there he called some elders and called them out for being lazy missionaries. It was pretty funny. He called them out pretty hard in front of us. And my companion and I looked at each other smiling cause we knew who it was. Later at District meeting, the Aps sat in my district meeting and after they interviewed me. I know them pretty well also, I've been in the same zone and district with them before.
We have a 17 year old investigator who has made the commitment to be baptized in april. He is way cool. He plays soccer for the high school soccer team. We have a solid teaching pool. Members love us. We have a good week lined up for dinners and appointments.
I have a package almost done that I'm going to try to send out, around grants bday.
There is a someone who we have taken out teaching with us like 3 times a week who is leaving tomorrow to serve in the Philippians. We got close with him. At his farewell there was like 20 of his school friends that filled up 3 rows. The sacrament meeting itself was all centered on missionary work. Our investigator sylvia came also. It was very doctrinal and clear. The hymns were original. At the end of the meeting the Bishop said it just right, he said that this church is just not for members but anyone can come, if you liked what experienced here today you can come back next week. Paraphrased, but he said it just right. pretty much everyone was in tears.
Additionally as a district we are exceeding in teaching and commitment. We have 4 investigators with a baptismal date.
Also in march or next week they will be splitting the zone and also splitting 3-4 wards in the stake, missionary wise. so there will be two sets.
Scripture: Alma 17:11 "...The Lord said: Go forth among thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls."
