Cali Swag

Family,
So it has been a crazy week. Busy, exhausted, awesome-i-fied, and just loving this area. Being In the YSA ward here in orange is great. Every week after church there is food! And 2 times a month is a large meal. Fast sundays they do what is called "break the fast" dinner. Church starts at 1 ends at 4 of course and after there was a load of food. Also there was a new bishop and bishopric called around the same time I came in. And they all live in Orange hills, and they are $loaded. They feed us often. In face once a month they have the whole ward over for food after church. Our ward mission leader is sweet. His name is Anthony and he is so funny. He has a cool job. He was Mitt Romneys main guy for his campaign in southern california. He knows a lot of people, he said he has met the Senates for Maine. He has got a personality.
Last tuesday and every tuesday, We go to Irvine Valley College and set up a table and poster and try to attract a crowd to find people to teach. It was great. We talked to a lot of students who were curious and were very open in talking with us, they were nice. We had with the Chinese Elders also, and they got more potential than us. This week we are going to Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College. We have been trying to contact Chapman College in Orange so we can put up tables there also.
The harder part of being strictly ysa is that it is not effective to tract. The best way is only through members. So we are working closely with members to get refferals.
We had a baptism on Saturday. His name is Michael. I only got to teach him about 3 times before his baptism, but we act like we have been friends for years. He is so funny. And laughs very loud. The ward got 12 baptisms last year and this year we are going to crank them out, We have another one planned for March 2nd.
Since I've been in the ward, It overlaps my previous ward a year ago, My first ward I was in. And I have already ran into members that I met. They remember me.
The ysa ward covers two stakes. But its under the orange stake. Every month we have to meet with the Stake President to do "stake reports". Being a ZL, I get to get the mail first. haha but I have to do a lot of things. And my companion is very good. He is teaching me very well. The next transfer he is probably going to be leaving and so I need to learn the whole area, how to be zone leader, how to be an effective missionary in the ysa ward in 5 weeks. Because this transfer is a 5 week transfer. to adjust with the wave of new missionaries coming out.
The first 19 year old sister arrived into the mission last week also. They are in our zone. Its weird, but cool at the same time. We have to watch this one elder in the zone who is kind of flirty with the sisters. We are going to use the wooden spoon on him:)
I think thats everything.
Thats awesome that you got 3 feet of snow. I would be sledding, breaking all the sleds. Poor Kimball is sick this week. he's just a tender little guy. I hope you guys are having fun! Its is nice and warm down here. not to rub it in. I love all y'all.
Alma 13:28-29 "humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering. Having faith on the Lord; having a hope that ye shall receive eternal life; having the love of God always in your hearts, that ye may be lifted up at the last day and enter into his rest."
