Tuesday 11:25pm, I woke up from an earthquake...

This is Elder Kenning. Southern California. Brea. Public Library. Do you how do?

Rough Week. In a few circumstances.

-Tuesday 11:25pm, I woke up from an earthquake. I was half asleep and I actually thought my companion Elder Walker got up and started shaking my bed to be funny. But I looked over and he was out cold. So I only felt it. But the next day others felt it too.

-Wednesday 9:34am, 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit in Yorba Linda. That was a good one. I was half asleep again, but this time I was reading my scriptures. To be honest, I had my head on my scriptures, resting my eyes (I've been studying since 7:45am so I was tired). So instantly comes this BOOM!! and the apartment starts shaking and I was just sitting in my chair and didn't know what to do, so I just aimlessly watched. It was awesome! I can't wait for the next one.

-Wednesday night, we went to eat dinner at a members home, we whipped us up some steaks, and he asked us how we wanted it. We said Medium. He cooks them up, we sit down, I eat two steaks, and it was pink, but very good.
later it wasn't so good. I got FOOD POISONING! it was painful, I've never had it before.

- all day Thursday I was in pain, in the apartment all day. Very uncomfortable.

-Friday, recovered, but still weak and sore. than It was Mormon Night at Angels stadium, and our ward did a tailgate feast underneath the 'A' at the stadium, and it was super fun. We couldn't stay for the game....:(

Through all of this we still managed to keep up the work in our area, taught one less lesson than last week. I can't believe it, I was certain that we weren't going to a whole lot. We taught the Plan of Salvation three times this week, It's like programed in my brain.

This is the last week of the Transfer, I'm still and always had been junior companion. I had a interview with the president, it went very well, he said he was happy to see the success we are having.

The picture is me and another Elder (not my companion). just so you know....exchanges.

Grant would work at Olympia Sports...

Scripture: Mormon 6:7-10 (This is where I am in my personal reading)

"And it came to pass that my people, with their wives and their children, did now behold the armies of the Lamanites marching towards them; and with that awful fear of death which fills the breasts of all the wicked, did they await to receive them... every soul was filled with terror because of the greatness of their numbers...my men were hewn down....I fell wounded in the midst."

He says in 4:11 "It is impossible for the tongue to describe, or for man to write a perfect description of the horrible scene." 18, "From this time forth did the Nephites gain no power over the Lamanites, but began to be swept off by them even as a dew before the sun." In 6:16 "My soul was rent with anguish". 17."How could ye have rejected that Jesus, who stood with open arms to receive you!"

As I'm reading, it is just sad to see Mormon stand and watch and entire nation become extinct. And watch his people, over 23 hundred thousand people die, because they rejected God. It must hard to feel this sarrow which he felt.

Sorry for the sad scripture, it just stood out to me this morning.

-Love, Elder Kenning :)
