This week I will give a detailed report on how the work is going, here in Brea.
*In the commencement of the 1rst year of the reign of President Bowen, servants of the lord were called to serve their God.For behold, I have neglected showing unto you the great and marvelous work unfolding round about in the land of Brea. In the 8 month of the two thousand and twelth year, we have seen many miracles wrought upon the people. Wherefore, the Lord has softened the hearts of the children of men, great preparations has been taken upon ourselves in carrying out the work of the Lord. The Saints round about the land of Brea have made great efforts in laboring in the Lords vineyard. (1 Kenning 3:7)

These past two weeks we have taught more lessons then we have ever since we've been in a companionship. We have really figured out what missionary work is all about. Personally, even though I knew what missionary work was, It has never sunk in this deep like it is now. I get what it means to love the people, it takes a great deal of effort, but it is worth it. I am coming back to the mission to visit all those who are not even members who I've taught, because they have made an impact on my life. As I really, truly give up all of my personal needs and wants it allows me to become one with the Lord, and it "gets me out of the way" of the work. As it reads in 3 Nephi 13:24-34. In short it says "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." This is a promise given to us, but it will only happen if we act in faith.
We have two seperate baptism on August 25th, additionally 5 other investigators have baptismal dates in September and November. We have 3 in November and all three of them are golden and can be baptized this month, its that they have family that wants to be apart of the baptism. We had 4 come to sacrament meeting, and one of them bore a powerful witness of this Gospel. We also invited them to attend a baptism last Saturday, and the spirit was just strong, everyone felt and knew it was the Holy Ghost.
This one family we started teaching again has made strong efforts in building a relationship with God. We taught the Restoration. Beforehand, we invited a priest to come, and told him that he was to teach the First Vision, as a joke. And during the lesson as we got to that part, even though he knew he didn't have too. I was about too, He wanted to, and he bore his testimony of the first vision and taught the end of the Restoration. And we have a service project we are doing for her, we offered our service, because not only that she needed our help but we felt prompted to ask.
This work is so true. How can over 55,000 19-21 year old kids go out in the world teaching people the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ? How can it be so successful? It is only possible because this is the Lords work. There is no other way, but that this work is from the hand of God.
I mentioned last week that my camera broke. Well it is still broken. But a member was so kind enough to give his to me. So I now have a camera :)
Thats pretty stupid name you gave the cat. Who calls a cat Squash?? It must be a fat cat.
I don't know what else I could use out here, just don't send me a package full of candy and treats, just save that for Kimball. He told me that he Loves Candy. If you want to be creative and send me something, you can. I always like a surprise.
Sorry that I haven't wrote good enough letters, Hopefully this one will make up the rest.
