brazilian soccer jersey, service projects, and post mission plans....
Hey Everyone!
How is everyone doing way out there? I am doing great! Today we went on a little adventure, we went to the other side of São Paulo to go check out the Nike factory. There I bought myself a brazilian soccer jersey with my birthday money. After we checked out the 25 de Março, and my comp got some other soccer jerseys.
This week has been really busy. The ward has been helping us out a lot. Our are is a really rich area, and so knocking on doors hasn´t been working out to well. So we have changed our tactics, and now we have been doing a lot of Family HOme Evenings with the members. We have been trying to implement the Ward Mission Process and the 15 names. And so far it has been working out really good. We also got the whole ward together on Sunday and had the all give out pass along cards, do contacts, and write down addresses for us. We did this in a neighborhood that is kind of far away but it is really receptive. I hope by the time I go there will be the working of a new branch there. The whole ward is extremely pumped up, even our bishop. Our bishop was having some difficult times with us because of the paast missionaries here. They weren´t exactly the best kind of missoinaries there were, but now we have his trust back and things look really good.
Mmmm.... what else..... We also have been doing a lot of service projects to get the ward´s trust and confidence. We did two service projects this past week. One was really tough. My hands got a lot of blisters, and started to bleed a lot. I had to use a hoe and clear out this man´s property. I felt like I was really young again, when mom would punish me by making me weed the garden, or turn over all of the soil. It was really character building...
So as far as school goes, so please put my application in for BYU Provo, and SMCC, for the fall. I need to know what I need to do so I can get those applications in. I know that for my to apply to the BYU Provo fall semester the application deadline is March 29th. So I need to get everything ready before then. I am trying to decide what I want to study still. I think I have it knocked down between Marketing, and Computer Science. So I was hoping to work with either Brother Abaroa, or Brother Bailey with some stuff after the mission, to see if that is what I really want to do.
