Short, sweet, and unedited :-)
Hey everybody!!!
How was Scout Camp? Is everyone way tired? I don´t have a whole lot of time to talk today, but I wanted to let everyone know that I am doing fine!
Today was transfers and my companion got transfered. My new companions name is Elder F. Rocha. He seems like a really cool guy. My last comp was kind of a slacker, I tried my best to get him excited, and when he finally turned his attitude around he got transfered. My new comp seems to be a way hard worker and I hope and pray to have a lot of success with him.
We are getting to work with the ward really well. Everyone is excited for the missionary work here. Everyone is giving us referrals, and having family nights with us. This entire week it is all booked. They say the best way to baptize people is through member referrals. I am hoping to baptize a lot this transfer. We found a lot of good investigators, and now we just have to baptize all of them. One of my goals on the mission that I haven´t been able to do yet is to baptize weekly. This area has the potential, now I just have to step up to the plate.
Last saturday night we had that competion in the ward. We did three different activities. We had the frozen tshirt contest, the bobbing for jellybeans in flour contest, and the donut on the string contest. It was way funny for the ward, it is always good to have something to do outside the normal church activities. We had a lot of success, and the ward is loving the activity so much that they are bringing their friends as well.
Dad I know you are really busy but I was hoping you could answer a question for me in the next email. I have a few investigators who want to know why the church wants us to burry the dead, and not creamate them? Doesn´t the two of them end up to the same state of decomposition? If you could answer that question, I would appreciate ya.
Well I need to go, I love you all!!!
Love,
Elder Harry Kenning
