the Lord will take care of everything. He promised He would
Last week I didn't post an email from Elder Kenning. I did speak to him Mother's Day (two days previous to the scheduled email day) so I am guessing he thought it was okay to skip last Tuesday's email. haha We all had a wonderful talk with Harry on the phone. He was very sad to learn of his Uncle Mark's passing. He dearly loved him as we all did.
We spoke for about an hour and each of us took a turn talking to him. It was so wonderful. It sounded like he was just next door. His voice was crystal clear. I didn't even cry. Amazing! To all those mission moms whose sons/daughters have just left or are about to leave, the separation does get a lot easier.
Okay....on the email......
Hey everybody!
How is everyone doing? Grant you big toothless wonder, you finally got braces on. I bet you must be really excited. Anyways. We have been approaching the last week of the transfer, so things have been busy here. Also at the end of the week on Friday we will be having a Zone Conference with Elder Godoy. He is a member of the seventy, and served as a missionary in our mission. So he will be doing a mission tour. After the last conference on Friday he will come by th office and see how are things going here. He will be having a meeting with us, and I think he will be interviewing us personally. Isn´t that intense! I´ll be personally interviewed by a General Authority of the Church! I have know idea what he will say to us. It isn´t like we have any problems or anything, and he isn´t going to talk to us about office work. So who knows. It should be pretty cool though.
What else has been going on..... Just the same old. I have a lot of projects I have to do here in the office. I have putting all the maps on Google Maps, working on mission graphs, and a whole bunch of other things. I have to finish up all of these things, and teach my companion how to continue it. My companion isn´t that computer savy, so things have been going pretty slow.
Is Grandpa bob okay?
What mom flew home by herself?!
I have been praying for everyone back home. Sheesh, the things that can happen while you are gone on your mission. Grant has braces, Jake is graduating, family members have been dying, or having health problems. It is sure crazy.
The next thing we need is our pet´s heads to fall off.
Well I don´t have to much time, next week I might not have time at all to write. But if I do I will send an email off. Sorry if the email is wicked short. I just want to let you all know that you are all in my prayers, and the Lord will take care of everything. He promised He would. But the way He helps us out is always different than the way we want it to be. When Elder Nelson was here, his wife said something really interesting. She said ``When the Lord answers you, and says that everything will be alright, buckle your seat belt, and put on your helmet, because things will get rough.´´ The road is tough, but it is well worth it.
Love you guys,
-Elder Harry Kenning
