Mother's Day and Dominos pizza :-)

Hey Everybody!!!

I am glad to hear that everyone is diong great in Maine. Happy Cinco de Mayo. Unfortunately Brazilians don´t have this holiday, but it´s good because the work will go on as normal. Whenever there is a holiday here in Brazil the whole country stops, or travels. Everyone works really stressful hours, and get paid very little. So in order to make ends meet they have to work up a storm. So whenever there is a holiday the Brazilians take advantage of it, and generally they do not want to hear about the gospel. Last Saturday was Labors day here, and everyone decided to travel in my area. We ended up knocking on a lot of doors without having to much success. Here in Sao Paulo you run into people from all over. Other missions, areas, even other countries. I have already talked to people from England, Canada, and Finland. It was funny, because they didn´t speak a lick of Portugeuse, but I was able to do the street contact in English.

I am giving a personal English Class to a native Chinese man. He will be studying in Wisconsin in September. But the level of English he knows is at a College Level. Even my brain hurts after the class. He wanted to pay me money for the classes, but I told him no, I would only charge the price of hearing a message of Jesus Christ afterwords. He accepted, and now is reading the Book of Mormon in English, and has a date to be baptized. The problem is getting him to come to church. He has karate in the morning, and other family activities.

It´s weird to think that I already have one year on the mission. Thanks dad for letting me know this is my last may on the mission. I really don´t want to think about it. The mission is too good to think about when it will end. I think I will be leaving the office this transfer. I sure hope so. I am going crazy here. I need to get out and get back to full time baptizing missionary . I don´t know exactly what will happen, what I will do, or where I will go. I will probably end up around here in Sao Paulo. I don´t think I will go to far. I will have to ask during my interviews this thursday with President.

This past week the missionary work has been going to well. We need to find some new investigators. I had a bunch of really good ones, but they decided to move just outside of the area. I have been giving free baptisms to other missionaries. That´s life isn´t it.

That´s cool that Lee is going to England, I can´t believe he has already sent in his papers. And Jake is graduating!

Right now we found a Dominos Pizza here in Brasil! We just ordered pizza and I swear it was the best pizza I have ever had. It was American! I can only remeber the true best pizza, Papa Johns, Buffalo Chicken. I think I might get that the first night I get back. Mmmmm.... Great Food, Great Ingredients.

Anyways, I will give you guys a call at home. I will probably call in the afternoon. I am not exactly sure where I will call. But don´t worry I will. So it will work out like last time. I´ll call, then you give me a call back using the number I give you.

Other than that, there are a lot of cool things happening here. I will just have to tell them all this Sunday. I love you all so much!!! Be Good!!!

Love
Elder Kenning
