Virtual hugs, Lucia, and the Tropical weather in Brazil

kRaCKle!

Hey Everyone!!!

How is everyone doing on this really hot day of November, oh wait it is cold there. I am sorry that you guys have to pass through the harsh cold winter of Maine, while I get to enjoy the tropical weather of Brazil.

So everyone is wondering, today is transfers, and there could be a change. Who knows maybe I am in another area right now, with another companion. But nope, I am still here. President wants us to continue the hard work we are doing in here in this area. There has been some drastic changes in our area for the good, and the ward is starting to turn around. President knows we have been working our tails off, and wants us to prepare this area to explode. It will, unfortunately after I leave it.

Our area is in the middle of nowhere, we have no contact with other missionaries, only during District Meetings, and conferences. So we really need the help of the ward.

So that is exciting to hear about Loco baja grill, it sounds like it is going to be awesome, you will have to send pictures of the logo, and recipes and stuff like that.

How was Halloween? Last Saturday we had two baptisms. The meeting was incredibly spiritual. We baptized a lady, who has a son who is less active. He was touched, and now wants to return back to church. It was neat because right after he met wanted to meet the bishop to start changing his life. Her name is Lucia, and she truly is an elect. She willfully accepted all of the commitments, and is doing awesome. Her other son, who served a mission baptized her. After the baptism, and while still in the font she gave him a huge bear hug crying. And when she recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost she felt something ´burning´in her heart. Wow, it was truly amazing, and she truly has a lot of faith.

Last week we cleaned out our teaching pool. We went and visited everyone, and tried commiting them to be baptized, but none of them want to actually follow Jesus Christ, so we kicked them. Right now we only have 1 family in our teaching pool, we are working on their marriage right now (which is very complicated in Brazil). This transfer will be awesome, and we are totally going to rock it out.I don´t know why but I am really pumped, even though our area is really hard, it doesn´t matter.

No, I haven´t recieve a package from the Jarry´s or from the Bryants yet. Packages usually take about a month to get here. Requests for Christmas, I don´t know, what ever you feel like mom, because you know everything! Maybe some more cd´s, maybe josh groban? I am also working on a package for you guys... any requests for christmas?

How is Kimball doing? I haven´t heard anything about Doody-doo in a while...

You will have to let me know how the elections went.. Marajuana!!! what!!! That´s crazy!!!! I can´t believe that the restaraunt (I think I spelled it right) is recieving phone calls. Well the important thing is to stand for what we believe in, and not let things that we can make a difference pass us by. That is how Satan gets the righteous letting telling them to sit on the sidelines, putting thought into their heads that ´all is well ´.

Well I am glad that everyone is doing awesome, and things are coming along. I am still keeping in you in my prayers, I know that no matter how hard things get there is always a reason. I love you guys so much!!! Thank you so much for the support, and for the emails, and for everything!

Virtual Hug, and High Five! Yeah!

Love,
Elder Harry Kenning

Spiritual Thought
Our mind can destroy the feelings of the Spirit, by thinking they are without importance, or something of our creation. God judges us according to what we do with the promptings of the Spirit. It is important to follow them so that we can remain worthy to recieve more. But how can we tell the difference between the Holy Ghost and our mind? What difference does it make if it it something good. Something that is described in the 13th article of faith? Just do it if it is good, God will warn us if it is wrong. As we trust in the Lord we will rely more on the Spirit. The Holy Ghost can be so strong that we could use him more than our eyes, or ears, to determine our decisions.
