Golly-gee wilickers mom, no I do not have a tapeworm
Hey Everbody!
Golly-gee wilickers mom, no I do not have a tapeworm. No I am not sick. No I am
not hungry. Yes I am eating just fine. No I am not sick. Yes you are crazy. No
you don´t need to worry about me. No nothing happened that involves my health
this week. Yes, I love you.
Today I got mail! Woohoo! I got a package from the Bryants, and I got letters
from the Baileys, Kendra, and ´G´. I still haven´t recieved the package from
Sis. Jarry, but you know the mail here in Brazil, sometimes things take a really
long time. I know an elder that his family sent a package for Christmas, but he
didn´t get it until the following July. That is just the way things work down
here. But I am sure it will arrive soon enough....
Are you serious about the Bryants?!?! 13 weeks early? Is everything going to be
alright with her? Why did she have her so early? You need to tell me more about
them. Seriously mom.
Say Hi to Brother Wilkes and Dylan for me. Dad, Jake, and Grant give them a big
hug, a high five, and a good game, for me. But really mean it, it needs to come
from the soul.
So what has been happening here in Brazil. It has been extremely hot, in the
high 90´s, and I have developed a wicked sweet farmer´s tan. I have a collar
line, and sleeve lines. I am working on my the tie and name tag lines as well.
The sun here is so strong that it goes through your shirt, and will give you a
tan under it. Crazy huh?
We have been working with a lot of families that are not completly members. We
have been arriving at their houses, and giving messages with the spirit so
strong, that they can´t say no. It has been awesome to say
the least. It is awesome giving a lesson by the spirit, letting him direct all
your words, thoughts, and questions. This week has been powerful.
But with all hard work, there are more funny opportunities, and we meet more
crazies. We taught this one guy who has a bar, we taught the Restoration and
everything. At the end we asked him to give last prayer. He agreed, so we closed
our eyes and folded our arms and waited. And waited and waited and waited, we
looked at each other, then looked at him. He shutting his eyes, and he had his
mouth open doing weird things with his tongue. My companion then asked can you
say the prayer now? He replied, sure... The same thing happened again. AFter
which my companion said can I give the prayer? People are really crazy down
here, my journal is just full of entries, of crazy people that we have met.
There is also another crazy that likes to give us messages in the road using our
bible. The way he chooses the message, is that he uses the width of his pinky to
choose a scripture, then reads it, and leaves.
Hey mom, in the next package can you send a new memory card for my camera, and a
usb pen drive?

No matter what we are feeling right now, if life is going well or if it is going
bad, we need to constantly strengthen our testimonies of the Restoration of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to be prepared for when people ask about the
gospel, and when we are at the lowest points in our lives. Our testimonies can
be our safety harness, somthing sure and steadfast that we can rely on.
