Good Morninggg!

Another P-day! Can't believe dad is going to Puerto Rico! Gotta learn some espanol! :) I'm sure that will be awesome. Send some pictures! Anyway, it's been a good week this past week. Just the same old same old in the Mission field. Last P-day we went bowling in a really run down bowling alley in Portsmouth.. it was 1 dollar tuesdays! It was fun though, lot of gangsters and old people there and us in our white shirts and ties haha It had been so long since I've bowled though but I scored a 157 which I guess is good i think.. I'm not too entirely sure but it won! So hey, thats what matters haha. We've had a lot of appointments throughout the week, we have gotten a good teaching pool now, and really getting progressing investigators which is amazing to sit back and watch people grow spiritually.

Usually we have something called "walk and talk Wednesday" where we don't drive hardly at all so we save on miles and we can ITL people (invitation to learn) Itls have been a huge focus in our zone so we really having been doing walk and talk every single day haha. After Studies every morning we leave the house and walk all around portsmouth to different appointments. It's good because it'll really help me get used to the whole walking deal in Brazil.. It'll be a struggle haha but im game for anything the Lord wants me to do. Through our Itl'ing adventures we havent been too reluctant to receive solid investigators which can be hard sometimes but it's nothing to stumble over.

With our lessons throughout the week, all of them have been amazing and led by the spirit. I feel like this area in the past hasn't been pushed or been progressing too well. I've really been trying to make a point to show our investigators that we are here as friends to help you out, but more importantly to share with you a message about Christ's gospel. Then to set self reliant commitments with them to see if they have a real desire to change and come closer to Christ. It's been a really good growing experience for me to really learn how to help people change and for me to change myself! Those commitments are really everything though, when people follow through with commitments its awesome! haha it's such a good feeling.

Later on this week we had a lot of service opportunities, Saturday morning I helped move a single sister out of her apartment into her sons home. It went by really fast but it was in the pouring rain haha so it definitely made things more INteresting for sure. Later that day we helped a family paint there living room, which took from 3-to about 8:30.. it was a lot of fun though! It's pretty hard to paint the upper wall trim near the sealing though haha got it on the ceiling a couplet times.. but don't worry it came off! Anyway Saturday was a day of service, and yesterday we just did a lot of walking after church. We had a big break the fast meal afterwards and it was the best.. potlucks are miracles to missionaries haha

Today will just be a normal p-day with usual activities, like shopping, ill be getting a haircut, playing some b-ball down in the hood haha then dinner and a lesson tonight with one of our top investigators. We are teaching the Plan of Salvation so since they have a lot of kids i want to bake a plan of slavation cake haha and have that as dessert :) we'll see how it goes.. Well thats about it! Enjoy conference this week! I know that I will, take notes. Love you all!Hope to hear from you soon.

Love, Elder Kenning

Spiritual thought: 1 Corinthians 2:9-16 We shall know the things that God has prepared for us as long as we have the Spirit with us, for with the spirit we do the will of the Father, but the Natural man cannot have the Spirit therefor they do the desires of Man.
