Whats up family!

Whats up family!

How are all of you guys doing! Its so nice to be able to hear from you guys! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY :) Hope you have a great birthday. Wish I had something to send to you right now. I'll make sure I get something out to yah! How old are you turning again? becoming an old man :) Desculpa. Anyway. This past week has been something else for sure. Its been amazing, last saturday we were able to go to the Temple which was an absolutely amazing experience, The spirit was so strong. I'll be able to go and do sessions at the Temple every Saturday so I'll be going there later today around 2:30. Very excited one of my favorite parts of the week.

So my district is very much into music like singing playing instruments and all that stuff, so that makes me the odd one out of the bunch haha but I really like it. So they allwanted to participate in singing in one of the devotionals during the week in the missionary choir. I was a little hesitant at first because i'm terrible at singing. I did it anyway and it was such a cool experience, we sung "Nearer my God to Thee" which is one of my favorite songs. That devotional we sung at was this past Tuesday night, The devotional was being broadcast-ed all around the world to each other MTC, this devotional was so special because Elder Bednar came and spoke to us that night. By far one of the most powerful talks I've been able to hear in person. Singing in front of an Apostle was such a cool experience. So glad I did it.
Other things that happened during the week was that we received two investigators to teach everyday. The first one's name is Augusto and he is a very cool guy who knows everything about the Bible. He's also from Brazil. The other guy is named Rafael he is a fourteen year old boy, who is influenced about the church because his sister got baptized. The two investigators are played by my two teachers who taught these exact two people in brazil, when we teach them they act exactly how they think the two other guys would. It's so cool, when I teach I feel like i'm talking right to Augusto and Rafael. Last night we taught those two, then we had TRC which is when volunteers who speak portuguese would come in and we would have to teach them a lesson, more like an FHE lesson. It was really cool we went in there and had know Idea what we wanted to teach them, and we just got to know more about them. We asked them questions and taught them a short simple message about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mind I say it was allin Portuguese :) The language is so difficult.. Although I have learned so much in the past two weeks, its been pretty tough haha. Just so much to take in and so much studying. I must say speaking in a different language and teaching people about the gospel in Portuguese is so cool.
So I havent heard anything about my visa yet except that I probably will be reassigned to another area before Brazil. That is because I received a letter in my mailbox, or pretty much every one in my district did saying that we have to re-due our FBI clearance letters because its a brand new year. When I heard that, I almost lost it haha because of all the work I did to get my other apps in before I got here. We'll see where I'll be put. It's all good. I just really want to get to brazil..
So yeah, nothing else really happened besides the usual MTC grind. I only have two and a half more weeks here in the MTC, we get incoming missionaries from allover every Wednesday. This coming Wednesday our district is able to be "host" missionaries where we help all the new guys out and show them there rooms and such. The MTC is great, The days feel like they take forever, but the weeks fly by. Its such a weird feeling. Thank you for all the love and support, I really appreciate it. Ill write you guys a week from today!

Love, Elder Kenning
