Preparing for Christmas!
Family,
Great week, I got to wittness an Investigator that I taught the first lesson with in Costa Mesa. It was very neat. After he was baptized he gave his tesitmony. I was a few minutes late, so I didn't a picture of us before baptism but I got a picture after. My zone leaders drove me down and they had a baptism that went long in Fullerton, thats why.

We got some really good member refferals that we are working with. We had a really ward council about missionary work and getting the members for involved in it. We also met with our elders quorum president to get a more focused aproach for part member families. Tonight we are having dinner with our bishop and we are also going to meet with him.
We went to a Stake Christmas Nativity this past saturday. It was super cool. They had live animals, like a camel and sheep. They had it all acted out behind the church building. Lots of people went. Our Investigator Sylvia went with her daughter and they loved it. So did I. I got to re-connect with a lot of the members I served with when I was in Brea. I saw lots of people I knew. Very great expierence. The pictures I took arent so good though...poor quality.
This morning Elder Pafford and I taught seminary. It was cool, we talked about how seminary is good for missionary work and all the new missionary stuff thats happening.
Last night we ate with some members who fed us big porterhouse steaks. They were so good. But this morning I had a stomach cramp. haha. It was worth it despite the pain :)
Congrats Harrison. I hope you do well in t he bishopric. I don't know if its something to congrats about but that awesome stuff. Do you still work at the resturant?
Wednesday was the City of Placentia's Tamale' Festival. It was crazy awesome. We street contacted and got tamale's, we even had a member priest with us. we strolled around like a boss.
Oh yeah, We can Skype for Christmas. I will give you the details when I will be skyping next monday.
I got a wonderful package from Grandpa Bob and Grandma June. It is just what I needed :) I ate all the treats in two days. However I did share my goodies. Also a card from Michael and Rachel.
Scripture: Alma 7:10 " And behold, he shall be born of mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conveive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God." This christmas like every year is a special time to remember the Savior in selfless service. Giving our time, talents and love to others can uplift and bless others. When you serve others, you serve God. Intresting that this verse says "at Jerusalem", we know it was bethlehelm, but Alma knew it was close so his people knew where Jerusalem was, so he related where Christ was going to be born there. "at" also means aproximate. Like if I said " I'm serving my mission at Anaheim", really I'm in placentia, a smaller city but its close to anaheim. If I served actually at anaheim, I would say "in" anaheim. Thus he was born at Jerusalem:)
