This week have improved, we are working with our ward mission leader to spark interest with the ward in coming out with us to teach. There is a lot of effort to get things moving, from most the auxiliaries.
We taught a lot more lessons this past week. And a couple of new investigators. Our new investigators are both from India and are Hindu. It is hard teaching them, because they have no understanding of Christianity. We are starting with the basics- like - God our loving Heavenly Father.
We also taught this one guy, this week, and it was super disappointing. We taught the first lesson, the Restoration. It was powerful, the first vision was like a spiritual pierce to his heart. We all felt the spirit, and we all felt the truth. We invited him to pray, he flat out said, no. We tried to resolve his concern. He wouldn't pray or read or have the book of mormon. He said, he is almost positive that this is not true. I said to him, If you are so positive that this is not true, why then, will you not pray to get a confirming witness from God, who is our first, true source of information, that this is not true. He avoid the question, because we know that he knew it was true, but denied it. After he said, you did a great job teaching that, as if it were a rendition. I corrected him and said, no, we didn't teach it, the spirit did, and always will. We asked if he accept a copy of the b.o.m., but didn't, because we knew he felt it, he accepted our offer for our card with our phone #. It was a good visit.
Scripture: Alma 48:15. "And this was their faith, that by so doing God would prosper them in the land, or in other words, if they were faithful in keeping the commandments of God that he would prosper them in the land; yea, warn them to flee, or to prepare for war, according to their danger."
Through Strict obedience to the commandments of the Lord, he is bound to bless us according to our faith and desire. Love thy God with all thy heart, and Love thy neighbor. The two great commandments which all things hang under.
