Transfers!
Hello hello, its me!
So big stuff has been going on.
Tranfers happened.
A couple weeks ago back when I had interviews with my mission president he said to me that he was going to leave us, Elder Kato and I, together for one more transfer, he said to me to not tell anyone though so it can be a surprise. So this whole time I knew what was going to happen. Then Saturday night we get transfer calls and find out that we were staying and all was the same but I got a new District Leader and a new Zone Leader. Later that Sunday, after we told the whole ward we were staying, during dinner, we get a call from the Assistants to the President and they told us that Elder Kato is being transfered out and he will be in the Tongan program over the whole mission, and for me, that I was to get a new companion in my area, I'm still junior companion but I know the area and I'm the Driver. My new Companions name is Elder Roberts, he is from saint george, Utah and has been out for 7 months and this is his second area. He is super cool too, he has a burning fire to work hard to Invite all to come unto Christ, and both of us together is going to be dynamite! It's crunch time, ultra-hard working time. Next tranfer is March 5 and there is a whole lot of english speaking elders coming in, so something is coming to past. Elder Kato was a really great missionary, I never knew how much I learned in-directly and directly. I'm going to miss that Elder, but I'll definetly see him around...he covers the whole mission.
This past week we did exchanges with the other ward and Elder Zahrabelny was in my area and we decided to ride bike because the other Elders took the car. But 30mins before dinner we were on the cross intersection of Wanda st and Villa Park rd and we need to get almost to Chapman st and Cannon st and right before Chapman is where our dinner is and I said to my comp. we can either take the easy route (being flat) or the "Epic Route" and he was so tired already and he said the regular route sounds good, I was like nope we are doing the Epic route. So we made our way East down Villa Park rd (being a big hill) and went all the way to cannon rd. (the monster hill) and it was epic ride, a few of the pictures are of us just accomplishing the Hill.
How are things back home? whats new in Maine? and for you Harrison whats going on in Idaho? crazy stuff...getting married in 3 weeks, man thats really sweet. now I will have a sister :)
Spiritual Thought:
-I cannot remember if I had shared this scripture yet but I will do it again if thats the case...for good measure
Mosiah 4:17-18
"Perhaps thou shalt say: The man has brought upon himself his misery; therefore I will stay my hand, and will not give unto him of my food, nor impart unto him of my substance that he may not suffer, for his punishments are just- But I say unto you, O man, whosoever doeth this the same hath great cause to repent; and except he repenteth of that which he hath done he perisheth forever, and hath no interest in the kingdom of God."
In here, King Benjamin is speaking to his people but this scripture is for us at this time, our Heavenly Father knows us perfectly and our desire and when those come when we look and say that I don't need to help him out he brought all his misery upon his self, that doesn't mean we don't need to help, it means the opposite, Helping a brother of a sister out, is what our heavenly father wants us to do, Charity, it takes Faith. Faith is the most basic fundemental principle there is (Alma 32: 21, 26-27)
