A new suit and fried pig skin....
Hey Everybody!!!
Thank you for depositing the money into my account. I have gotten really skinny and all my suits are really huge for me. I wouldn´t mind, but next Friday my companion will be sealed to his family. He is a recent convert and his parents were baptized while he was on the mission. And I didn´t want to go with an old baggy suit.
I weighed myself today, but not to worry mom I will not tell you how much I weigh..... I´m just kidding I´ll tell you, I now weigh 160 pounds. I think Grant is heavier than I am. I have lost a lot of weight. But now I look beautiful, and I will be ready to get married really quick after the mission.
So today I played soccer, went and bought a suit, then I bought a new white shirt (it was only 7R$ !!) , and then I went to Sister Souza´s house. Her name is Raquel, and she is like our mom here in the ward. She makes food for us, and takes care of us. She is very nice. She also sews, and she is going to do up the suit pants that I bought.
So my companion is a jerk isn´t he? He is going to be able to see his family on the mission. We are going to go a temple far away in Campinas. I have only been there once when I was in the MTC. We will be going September 3rd. Also next week we have a three day leadership training. The church has been coming out with some new materials for missonary work, and we all have to be trained on how to teach and lead better.
So how is the restaurant doing? How are the people doing in the ward? The Baileys, the corbetts, the abaroas? Did the baileys get my letter? I think there has been having problems with the mail. I did get the post card from Kendra. Tell her thanks for me.
So after this transfer I have 5 more transfers. I think I will have two more areas after this one. We will see what the Lord and President want me to do. I am really pumped too, now I really know how to speak portugeuse, talk to people, teach, and everything that a missionary needs to do. And me and my comp are justing exploding the place here. Last Sunday we just had two baptisms, and next week we should have 1 more, and the week after 1 more. Our goal is to baptize every single week. It isn´t easy, but the Lord is helping us out a lot.
Mmmm.... what else is going on around here..... Yesterday I ate fried pig skin, it was really good, except that you have to pick off all of the little hairs.....
Hey in this package, can you throw in a stick of deoderant? They don´t have sticks here. The deoderant is really weird, it is a bottle of liquid deoderant with ball on the top of the bottle. It is like a huge pen, but in stead of a ball-point with ink, it is a huge ball with cream. It´s really gross to put cold cream in your arm pits in the morning. I would prefer a stick of deorderant.
Well that is about it. I don´t know when I will email next week because of the three day training. One of the days will be on my P-day. But still send an email, I could be writing Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday! The only person who knows when I will write is President!
