I ate Chicken Heart (by the way it is really good)
Holy Cow!!! I did not realize that it was Father´s day last week, Jake´s graduation, or Jake´s Birthday this week. I feel so out of things, I can´t remember anything that should be going on at home. It seems that everything still should be happening here in a month or so. Time is so weird on the mission. You stop, blink, and two weeks have already gone by. I still can´t believe I left the office a month ago already.
Well to catch up then...
Happy Father´s Day, Dad, I hope the boys made you breakfast in bed.
Congratulations Jake on your Graduation!
Happy 18th Birthday Jake, you are now officially old.
And by the time I realize what is going on at home I will take this opportunity to say the following in advance.
Happy Birthday Dad.... Woohoo the big 45!
Happy Birthday Mom... How come you always stay at 29 years old?
Merry Christmas... Before you know it, it will be Christmas again! Only six more months away, or 4 more transfers.
Well I have been doing pretty well here in Mauá. Things have been getting really cold down here. It seems that when it gets cold, Brazilians start to make really weird food. Today for example I ate Chicken Liver, and Chicken Neck. It´s not bad, it´s just really really weird. And last Sunday I ate Chicken Heart (by the way it is really good)
I don´t know if you guys know, but the world cup has been going on. Things are really crazy down here because of it. Whenever Brasil plays we have to stay at home because it is too crazy for missionaries to be outside. Last Sunday afternoon, I had to stay at home. It was good because it gave us a chance to plan our training that we will be giving tomorrow at Zone Conference. Whenever Brasil made a goal, the whole city erupted with fireworks, and the yelling of the phrase, GOAL!!!!
My companion is way into soccer, and he has been going crazy too, but he has been going crazy because he can´t watch the game. So at every appointment that we go to, he asks about the scores, and how everyone is doing.
What else... Last Sunday we baptized. YES! It was great, her name is Daniela, and her baptism was really awesome. Now we need her to give us referrals. Let´s cross our fingers!
Anyways, my comp is giving the death glare again, I think we need to run. Thanks so much everyone! I love you all so much!!!
Love,
Elder Harry Kenning
p.s. - I can recieve pictures here at the LAN House, next week I will attempt to send some, it´s just the internet is really slow here in the middle of nowhere.
