Police in the ghetto? What! Now, I am worried. Thanks Harry!

Hey everybody!

How is everyone doing? I hear that the boys have been slacking off with school lately. So there really has been a lot of bad weather? And why hasn´t Jake done his Eagle Project? I think Grant is going to beat him, along with all the Corbett boys.... Jake get going!!!

So you guys didn´t like my activity for FHE. I see how it is. I though it would have been a good idea to do something spiritual, and plus I would love to translate our family´s testimony and put it in the book of mormons that I hand out.

Today I got the package of Liahonas that you guys sent. Thank you very much for them. It will be good to read, but now I have organized here in the office for the mission to recieve the liahonas every month, so you guys don´t need to worry about them anymore. Thanks for the letters!

So this week has been crazy. I was just telling President that I have felt that someone has put miracle grow on my testimony. The church is true! Who could deny it?

Last Friday I had interviews with President. The interview was short and sweet. It was actually interesting because he said to me ´´Elder I don´t want you to be the Financial Secretary.`´ It took me by surprise, I haven´t been working to be the next financial secretary, I haven´t talked to President about it at all. He told me that he doesn´t want that I stay in the office for a really long time, and that the field is needing me. I thought that was really interesting because there is no one else on the mission who could be financial secretary. Things will be interesting the next transfer. I will still be in the office for the next three months, but after I probably will leave. This next tuesday I will be getting a new companion who will be the next financial guy. I was talking to the assistants about all of this, and they said that President wants me to leave the office soon so that I can be a Zone Leader.... I don´t know what to think. I still have three months here in the office, and I still need to keep focused.

It´s just like dad said ´´Anybody can drive a golf ball really far and accurate, but not everyone can putt very well. The game of golf is determined on how well you can putt.´´ It´s the same here in the office, the mission, and life in general. Give it all you got, until you drop dead.

What else happened this week. Mmmm.... We had an interesting experience with the Police in the ghetto, I won´t tell you guys because I don´t want to worry mom. You´ll just have to wait until I get home to know. But everything is fine don´t worry, it was quite an adventure.

Anyways... Our English class is going great. We have 12 students, and only 3 of them are members. At the end of each class we share a spiritual thought. Which is generally the topic of the Restoration of the Gospel.

We are teaching an ex-thief right now who wants to completly move his life. He went to church last Sunday, and has already recieved a testimony. His only problem right now is that he is addicted to Marajuana. I haven´t worked to much with Mary-J, but I am going to need the spirit so that everything can go right.

Well I need to get going. I love you all, and I hope everything is great. I miss you all a ton. 10 months already down!

Love,

Elder Harry Kenning

p.s. - I went to the temple today and it was awesome!! Un-explainable,

If he wasn't going to tell us what happened with the police he should not have even mentioned it. Now I'm more curious than ever! Glad to hear that all is well.
