What a week.. its been such a crazy week. you guys have no idea. So Harry probably how you know this week is Carnaval.. so its been super slow here in the mission because everyone just leaves to go down to Rio or são paulo for all the partying. Its been quite boring. Carnaval is a pretty bad thing.. glad its not too big in my area. So we had transfers yesterday thats why i wasnt able to write yesterday. But yeah i was transferd, im out of Alfenas and now im here in the city of Viçosa in the zone Ubá. Super far away from where i was haha. Yesterday i woke up at 3:30 to catch the bus and got to my new arwea almost 9 o´clock at night. Straight traveling.. it was terrible. But yeah ive become the District leader of the Viçosa district, one of the biggest districts in the missions. There are four sets of missionaries. And they are all Elders haha, two here in Viçosa and the other two in another city called POnte Nova. So we will have to do a lot of traveling here.. Itll be nuts, ill have to do a bunch of divisions here. But im way stoked. My new companion is elder Cronquist he is pretty cool he is from Orem Utah, he about 6 months here on his mission. We will be going nuts here baptising the whole city haha, im pretty stoked. This area here is pretty notable in the mission, but maybe not for the best of things haha. Its been known as the "hole" of the mission. Where the Branch is weak, and the members arent to strong, and the missionaries are a little unexcited and dead haha. So in this Zone Ubá, has been a lot like that. But this transfer presidente looks like he is trying to get it out of the hole haha and back on its feet. We got a good line up of District leaders and zone leaders here. My goal this transfer is to turn this place into a place where everyone will want to come haha. Ive come from an area celestial to an area telestial haha but im stoked out of my mind to make this are celestial. President has really given me a chance to prove myself as a missionary. Its defintely my time. Itll be pretty fun. I havent worked here yet since i got in yesterday night and today is p-day so i just want to skip p-day and get to work, im so anxious, im going crazy. I cant wait for tonight.
From what ive heard there is about afrequencia of about 30 people here, there are a ton of less actives. Defintely has a lot of work to do in this area. So ill have to keep you guys updated next week on how it will be. We´ll have to squeeze in some Baptisms a long the way :) But thats really about all I have today, dont have too much for you guys. Thanks so much for the Birthday wishes. Im really just forgetting Im having my birthday here, im in a brand new area, so nothing will happen haha nor does there have to be anything.
