well change in plans...

Good morning yall, hows everyone doing over there! Sounds like things are getting pretty cold haha! I cant even imagine... I dont really remember that feeling of being really cold, and seeing snow fall.. Ive just been sweating from heat everyday. Sounds like that Tramp park is pretty unreal, wow I cant believe it has all of that.. its perfect. When I get home, ill test it out for you guys :) Well, like you said Dad this past week has been really hectic! Cant believe you guys recieved that calling, and you dad are working more than 70 hours.. thats pretty killer, thats for sure. So this past week, i recieved a call on monday night from President. That had me transfered really early.. so I got transfered to Alfenas Minas Gerais. Im training my first kid here too, his name is Elder Howard he is from Texas. He is super funny, im having a blast with the guy. Being a trainer is pretty awesome, im loving every minute of it. You dont even know, its the farthest area in the mission.. i can attest to that! I was in Barra in RJ, traveled to Juiz de Fora took 4 hours.. slept there during the night and then woke up at 4 in the morning and left to the bus station.. (oh so they let me travel by myself the whole time.. the weirdest thing ever..) left the bus station at 7.. got to my area at 5 at night. It was the longest bus ride ever. Two good days of traveling was rough haha.

So Alfenas here in the mission is a really famous area in the mission. Really famous to be one of the better areas. Holy smokes its so true. Here we have a Branch, with about 120 active members.. they are building a chapel right now and will be done in March or April. Holy smokes its so cool here. The area is really beautiful. Its the cleanest area ive seen in the mission. The Branch is amazing. They help us out so much, and dont even mention the food. Its so good, like today they gave us food for P-day! And it was soo good. Holy smokes. Anyway, so ive been really pumped and excited to be working and to be a trainer so ive hit this week pretty hard working and being really excited. Its hard here because everyone works until 5.. so the day is dead only doing contacts, but when 5 comes along it picks up really fast.

When i arrived I had found a young girl with 14 years old, who had been to church 3 times and taught once with the missionaries and didnt even have a date marked.. so i get in wednesday we go see here that night, she looked super strong in the Gospel. So we marked her baptismal date for yesterday morning before church and she was Baptized and then an hour later was confirmed! It was pretty sick, my first baptism before church.. wow it was hard but we pulled it off. The meeting went by really fast because we had Sacrament meeting coming up. But it all went really well. It was awesome.

Tomorrow we i´ll be having another zone conference because ive been moved to another zone and this zone (Tres Corações) hasnt had theirs yet. So ill be doing traveling for that tomorrow morning. Transfers will be coming up next week, youll be hearing from me next week if ill be going, or if ill get a new companion. Its weird to be transfered in the middle of transfers..

Our teaching pool is really tiny here, but im really making an effort of getting a bunch of news this week. We´ve been doing great here in Alfenas. This district is the most baptizing district in the mission so far. Its a real privelige to be put here. The branch president is awesome, best ive seen in the mission. He helps us with everything. he´s like a missionary with us, he only has 27 years of age. He´s amazing. So we live in our own house here in Alfenas! Its pretty sick, we has a front yard, we have our own study room, the only thing bad is that about everything is broken.. the sinks, my lights for my room, washer machine (everything by hand) a lot of things busted haha; It sawesome though.
Ill send photos next week. Ill definitely keep you guys upadted more next week, things will get rolling here in high speed. I guess time is already running out, love you guys so much! Hope you have a good week! Until later.

Love, Elder Kenning
