Happy Thanksgiving!

Family,
Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Turkey Day!
Busy week this week. But exciting. My new comp (Greeny) is from Meadowview, Virginia. His name is Elder Pafford. He's a cool chap. He has a good southern hick accent, he tries to hide it sometime. He's funny, we would role play to practice teaching, and he would pretend to be a southern Baptist trying to teach me the trinity. He has crazy cool background. He is the first missionary in his family. Both of his parents are converts to the church, he is the youngest to, his older brothers didn't serve. He talks about his dad being a real red-neck back woods guy. Its interesting. We worked hard this week, trying to break him in. We got him sharing our dinner lessons, and this week he is going to take the lead in inviting an investigator to be baptized. Lots of good things are happening.

This Thanksgiving we have no dinner.....just kidding, we got a late lunch at 2 (the turkey meal) and a turkey dinner at 5. and I think someone is going to have us over for breakfast too. We are going to be rolling around on our stomachs from the food we eat. Christmas is already getting full, we got someone signed up for brunch.

Other than that its been a good solid week.

Scripture: Jacob 4:11,13 "Wherefore, beloved brethren, be reconciled unto him through the atonement of Christ, his Only Begotten Son, and ye may obtain a resurrection, according to the power of the resurrection which is in Christ, and be presented as the first-fruits of Christ unto God, having faith, and obtained a good hope of glory in him before he manifesteth himself in the flesh." "The Spirit speaketh the truth and lieth not. Wherefore, it speaketh of things as they really are, and of things as they really will be; wherefore, these things are manifested unto us plainly, for the salvation of our souls." In vs. 1 its says "I cannot write but a little of my words, because of the difficulty of engraving our words upon plates". As I have studied the scriptures I read it slowly and carefully because each word has been carefully engraved for a purpose, so when I read I get more meaning trying to understand what each word means and then put it all together, its beautiful.
