See you in 2 years!
It's official! Harry (Elder Kenning) is now on his way to Brazil. I have been waiting for this day since the day he was born. Molly and I have always wanted Harry to serve a mission and we have always planned for it. I had no idea that letting him go would be so hard. We love Harry very much and he has been such a wonderful son and friend. I will miss him.
Enough of the sadness, I must say how proud I am of him. He has beat the odds of staying active in the church and making it on a mission. He has put off many of the selfish desires young men and women have during this time of their life, and serve people that he doesn't even know. What's even more incredible is that he has done this without a second thought or doubt. The way our world would like us to think and act is to either get a job, get an education or get into a serious relationship. I am so thankful that Harry has figured out that before those aspects of his life can have real success and meaning, he must put the Gospel into action by serving others aswell as the Lord.
It is a bitter sweet day. I will miss Harry so much, but more importantly we are so happy for his sacrifice to serve the Lord.
I love you!
