Harrison received his call today!
All of us at the Kenning home are very excited that Harrison has finally received his mission call. The infamous white envelope came today in the mail. Of course, I was not home at the time and raced home to greet the family waiting for me in the living room. Harrison was sitting on the couch and the camera was rolling. He read the letter out loud:
"You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Sain ts. You are assigned to labor in the Brazil Sao Paulo South Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 24 months." "You should report to the Missionary Training Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday, 29 April 2009. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Portuguese language....."
Kimball's first words were..."Harry can now baptize me." Kimball has been worried that Harry would not be here for his 8th birthday. He turns 8 on April 6th. So, this will work out great.
And the winner of our guessing contest is.... The Farley family (Harrison's old bishop) and the Harmons ( Harrison's current bishop) Interesting huh?!
